Embarcadero and Bayfront Walk

Listed with: For Longer Visits, Downtown, Pedestrian Area

One of the most pleasant and signature things you can do in San Diego is to walk the Embarcadero. This gives you a good insight into what San Diego has to offer, what our town is built on and around, and some of our geography. While it is possible to walk around most of San Diego Bay, we recommend you walk from the area near the County Administration building (there is also usually parking), along past The Star of India and the Maritime Museum, then the cruise ship terminal, past the USS Midway, along past Unconditional Surrender and the Bob Hope Memorial, over to Seaport Village, then over to the Convention Center. You can see the bay and the ships (recreational, commercial and military), across the bay is Coronado, behind you is downtown and off to the West is Point Loma and the Pacific.
